CanBus-2 Steering Wheel Control Retains Volume Function

The SWI-CAN-2 is a necessary interface for vehicles with Steering Wheel Controls that broadcast on a dual wire CanBus. This module can interpret digital steering wheel control signals from the CAN Bus and convert them to an analog voltage signal. It must be used with the SWI-RC.

Compatibility Notes:

• Clarion model CZ500 does not support remote Bluetooth controls.

• PioneerAVIC-Fxxx radios do not interpret radio preset seeking commands. This is a limitation of the radio, not the SWI-RC. There is no correction for this unless it comes from Pioneer.

• Pioneer radios with Bluetooth feature, the steering wheel controls will not adjust the phone call volume. The phone call volume must be adjusted on the face of the radio. This is a limitation of the radio, not the SWI-RC. There is no correction for this unless it comes from Pioneer.

• Only the AVIC-Z110BT, Z120, Z130 and the AVIC-X920BT, X930BT will support the Voice Recognition function via wired remote input.

• Retains Steering Wheel Control Functions when replacing the factory radio in a CAN Bus vehicle and when used with the SWI-RC.

Compatibility Notes:

• The red wire on the SWI-CAN-2 is an accessory output. Damage may occur to the module if this wire is used as an accessory input.
